Here’s to three more – God bless all of you and God bless America. • Jay-Z & Kanye – Paris (DOCO Remix) – After their absolute bomb dropping video came out, this remix appeared in my inbox. Not quite dubstep, but hard enough to make me want to put hydrolics in my Subaru. DAMN. • Kings of Leon – Immortals (Royksopp Remix)- I found this remix a few weeks ago and recently revived it in my playlist of the week. It truly is one of the best mashups I’ve ever heard and deserves all the recognition and promotion I can possibly give it. Hard to dance to, yet all I can think about is hearing this at Tomorrowland. • Dunson – Count On It – Just picked up this sick new hip hop – totally jamming on this guy, seriously has some of the exact same magic Kanye brought to the scene. Awesome – download.

• Freeloaders feat. The Real Thing – So Much Love To Give – If you like Call on Me and What A Feeling type techno, you’ll like this. A lot. Think tight spandex, beautiful women, workout room, and nothing but smiles on every face in a 5 mile radius.

• My Morning Jacket – Hopefully (live) – In true Jim James style, this one pulls on all things colorful and real in the world, delivering us a melody so wholesome and hopeful that you can actually feel time slowing down.

I wish more things like this happened – so awesome. Anyone who is a Patriots and/or UNC fan could use a little laugh this week, ouch. In other news, we’re about to break 50 degrees in Maine today and I’m wearing shorts at work. Flo Rida is KILLING it right now – hope he beats Adele in every one of her (ahem) 72 nominations. • Flo Rida (feat. Sia) – Wild One – Flat out latest and greatest jam off of Flo’s conquest of the dance music world. A textbook and awesome hard beat to get you rocking all weekend. • The Hood Internet – Move Up (Wiz Khalifa vs Phantogram) – Two of my favorites from 2011 teamed up in a wonderful mashup by the kings of creative jam spreading. • Wildcat! Wildcat! – Mr. Quiche – One of those ambient bands that are so hot right now, with a nice beat and a high pitched falsetto, with a strategic, layered, and light hip hop reference. Delicious.

• De La Soul – Pushin Aside, Pushin Along – Yes, they’re back. It’s like a PG-13 version of G-Unit, updating their genius playlist to 2012 production techniques (what’s up top octave of the piano on repeat).

This look sick. Period. It’s like seeing Laird drop the hammer on some ice bergs instead of 80 foot waves. Still – I’m pretty sure I’ll stick to the summer time activities. Starting to get lighter every day up in the Northeast, loving this warm winter! • The Hood Internet – Nightchain (Wale vs Kavinsky) – A sweet remix of the banner jam from the movie Drive. It was only a matter of time. • Super Mash Bros – Holy Guacamole! – These guys have taken quite the hiatus but are back in full force, dropping a Girl Talk alternative that’s much needed. • Capital Cities ft. Tupac – Breathe (Pink Floyd) – God this is awesome. Capital Cities’ jam on the Pink Floyd favorite is good enough. Layer on some Tupac and we’ve got ourselves some peanut butter and JAM.

• The Bamboos – The Wilhelm Scream (James Blake cover) – Oooooh gotta love that smooth soul sound coming out of the Bamboos. This one slows it down and gives us everything we’re dreaming out at 5pm Friday.

• Alec Gross – If You Don’t Mind (Baby Go Ahead) – Folk singer songwriter Alec Gross plays a simple yet brilliant chord progression that just feels right. Great stuff.

An extremely impressive video, both from a content and from a production standpoint. Seeing this kind of video and this kind of thinking fires me up, reminds me that anything is possible. Looks like the days are getting longer up in Maine and it’s almost February! Next thing you know we’ll be surfing on Tuesday afternoons and talking about how good we’ve got it. • Notorious B.I.G – Going Back To Cali (Viceroy Jet Life Remix) – Jet life is right – I am feelin’ da riddim on this one, giving Biggie a whole new island feel. Definitely the anthem for Thug Life in downtown Torotolla. • Krewella – Killin It – Krewella is nothing short of raw electricity and this one is no exception. A fierce and raw song about being an absolute slayer. • Sex Ray Vision – Mind Explosion 2011 (Mashup) – Similar to the other 2011 mashups, Sex Ray Vision does a terrific jobs at keeping the melodies in tact for all you Girl Talk lovers out there.

• Justice – On’n’on (Rick Rubin Remix) – This is such an awesome beat, really glad to have found this one. A sweet remix of a 90’s jam.

• Drive By Truckers – Pulaski - This song reminds me of how awesome the simple life can be. No matter how titanic your successes, no matter how high the highs are, sometimes all you want is a cold beer, a good sunset, and a good friend. Love this song.

Pretty sure I’ve never seen a video or a lineup like this – fully electrifying. I don’t think it is any accident that over 18 million people have seen this. Needless to say, I’m looking up tickets this afternoon for a Europe throwdown. Hot beats and cold weather this week, kind of like the ski lodge on a power day. EXACTLY where I want to be. • Break Science – Talk That Talk (Rihanna Remix) – This remix is SO good. Definitely on my top 10 "wish I had a Landrover" jams for 2012. Love the huge bass lines and voluptuous beat drop. • Shwayze feat Adele – I Won’t Go – Smooth operations all around. The voices and piano in this one are silk for the ears. Not the soy milk kind. • Left Boy – VIE – Two weeks in a row, Left Boy delivers a much more authentic music blitz, sampling from an older days. Kind of like a Hoodie Allen, if you’re into that.

• W.E.E.D – Love for Free – I like this a lot. It’s got that sexiness that makes hip hop work, fused with some straight 50-Cent style rap.

• Temple of the Dog – Hunger Strike – Blast from the 90’s, Eddie Vedder and Chris Cornell lay down one of the most vintage angst jams. What’s funny is that most people just refer to this song as "Oh – yeah I heard that in the first Girl Talk album." Sigh.

Big ups to the snow storm this weekend and to all your skiers out there. Glad to see this YouTube theme is alive and kicking – nothing funnier than making fun of stereotypes. Hope everyone has their 2012 injections in all the major veins – it’s party time. • The Jane Doze – Kids, Set Fire to Someone That I Used To Know – It was only a matter of time until someone unleashed a bangin’ remix of these songs. A fun one for the snow storm, makes me want to pour some 5 hour energy into my Bailey’s. I mean coffee. • Jay-Z – Glory – Classic Hova slowing down the beat to deliver us a message about something that is way too serious for a Friday morning. I want more Z and less Jay. • Left Boy feat. Mirakle – Video Games Fix- Sweet remix of the Lana Del Ray jam, glad someone put some beats behind that one. I have no idea what kind of video games she was playing when she wrote that song – definitely not Alpha Combat

• G-Unit – Poppin’ Them Thangs – Heard some G-Unit being spun at a party this past Monday and was instantly reminded how much I love these guys. Let’s get real – 50 Cent kills it. "I’ll sleep when I’m dead!" He makes me want to change my company name to Bluecloud – Thug Marketing.

• Bruce Springsteen – The Long Goodbye – Picked up the Boss’ album "Human Touch" for xmas and finally have a good reason to replace "Ready to Die" in my car CD player. I honestly can’t even describe how awesome this album is, apexed by this America-loving, power chord searing, foot stomping, f*ck yeah I love to hang out song. Bruce Springsteen makes me want to live harder. Download this immediately.

Yeah I know this is kind of touchy feely but it’s awesome, so deal with it. Could not be more fired up about this kind of stuff. HELL YEAH • Adventure Gallery – Addict – Great jam to kick this off – almost a feel good version of Arcade Fire, with a little bit of Cake mixed in. Arcade Cake? Twinkies. • Scissor Sisters – Shady Love – Handed to me on a sweet mix, Scissor Sisters bring it back from their 2011 days and drop the hammer on this jam. • Morgan Page – Fight For You (Remix) – A nice little dance hit, kind of like Ellie Goulding, but way less heavy.

• Grimes – Genesis – One of the hottest jams on the web right now, Grimes takes this beat and put its in the stratosphere. Electronic ambience.

• Bruce Hornsby – The Show Goes On – First snowy day of the new year and I had to put on Bruce. Easily my top 3 favorite artist of all time – so feel good. God bless America.

• The Submarines – Modern Inventions – Straight out of the hot new Pacifico commercial, this jam kills it. Make me want to get real on some pacific coast highway driving. No beers, involved, obviously. This girl’s voice is HOT.

• Whitney Houston – How Will I Know (Van Hooft & Forever Kid Remix) – I mean, how can you really go wrong with a sweet techno remix of Whiney’s epic 90’s hit? Put it on repeat and do something that makes you happy – like Occupy The Bar.
