I saw this a while back and completely forgot to post it. So feel good. I know you’re tearing up – it’s cool. This heat is getting a little ridiculous…beach time. LATER
• Santigold – The Keepers (The Knocks Remix) – Bangin’ remix of one of my Santigold favorites, nice little beat backed Friday afternoon throwdown jam.
• Coleco – Rock The Boat -Kind of a mix between sexy pool music and the Playboy Mansion soundtrack. A little dark and a little awesome. Yes.
• Coldplay feat. Rihanna – Princess of China - Coldplay + Rihanna = Scientific Disturbia, but this song still rips thanks to the queen of S&M herself.
• Youth Lagoon – Cannons – It took me a few times to appreciate how awesome this song is. Bon Iver eat your heart out. Put on some candles and drop a Xanax into your red wine – it’s time to chill out.
• Hal Kitchum – Small Town Saturday Night – Guilty pleasure = Foot stompin, small town country music. If I ever start a cover band when I’m older (happening), it’s either going to be this kind of music or a classic/hard rock genre. Motley Crue country music? Check.

Weekend of 09-09-11

This movie looks awesome. Wow. I’m 100% not ready for winter in any form, but it feels good to see people this fired up about it. Fall is in full effect in Maine – apples, flannel, chicks spending all their money at J. Crew. Love it.
• Kid Cudi – Make Her Say (feat. Common and Kanye West) – Remixing Poker Face is no easy task, but is perfectly executed by this trio of hip hop stardom.
• James Vincent McMarrow – Higher Love – Ever wish you could hear Bon Iver cover 80′s hits? Well, this is about as close as you can get.
• 2AM Club – Every Evening – Pretty simple, feel good Friday jam.
• Mayer Hawthorne – The Walk- Not sure exactly how to classify this genre – I suppose it’s 50′s hipster music? Either way, the kind of stuff I want to listening to more often, preferably while driving in a convertible after robbing a bank, laughing my ass off, heading straight for Mexico.
• Young the Giant – My Body - Hammer dropping power ballad, full of good energy and road tripping potential.

Weekend of 04-22-11

This video is spectacular and will hopefully get you in full force for some outdoor activity this weekend. It is filmed in Spain at El Tiede, the highest mountain in the country, over the course of 7 days. An amazing taste of the Milky Way, although I personally prefer Snickers.
• XV – That’s Just Me – If you like Wiz Khalifa, check this out.
• Gramatik – Stairway to Hip Hop Heaven - Phenomenal hip hop version of the Zeppelin classic. I also hear shades of R2D2 in there.
• Birdy – Skinny Love – One female laying a cover of Bon Iver’s hit "Skinny Love" that will give you goosebumps all weekend. Hear the original version by clicking here.
• Mac Miller – People Under the Stairs – Internet rapper who promised this song if he hit 100K Twitter followers. Awesome, raw hip hop. Check him out here.
• Spacehog – In The Meantime - Put this at the top of your weekend mix – a classic blue sky day with nothing but possibility baked into every fat, juicy power chord.
