Weekend of 07-20-12

For some reason I will never tire of watching stuff like this. Home runs, long bball shots – pretty much the best inspiration I can ask for. Seriously the best feeling ever. There is a direct relationship between when I hit my first home run in Little League and when I started doing push ups. It’s all the same shit. Keep slaying and God Bless America!
Space Hero – Heroine - The space hero in us all will love this jam – like a smooth drive down Sunset boulevard. It’s just a hot track, plain and simple.
Stars – Hold On When You Get Love And Let Go When You Give It -Stars have been one of my favorite bands in recent years and I’m glad to put this jam on the list. If you’re in Portland this September, they’re playing at Port City Music Hall.
Skrillex – Slats, Slats, Slats -***Warning – this definitely not for everyone. This is hard core Skrillex…which is why it’s so amazing. Imagine being in a dark room with 900 other people dancing harder than you ever, ever imagined you could. Then multiply that by 10. This guy is a F*cking genius.
John Mayer – Queen of California – Hell yeah I am a John Mayer fan. When he’s not being a creep and writing pathetic lyrics, he has some great stuff. This is a track off his new album and nice one at that. Catchy and easy – the musical equivalent of carving your longboard down a newly paved, slightly inclined road over looking the ocean. Anyone who’s done that knows what I’m talking about.
Missing Persons – Destination Unknown – This kind of reminds me of Santigold if she worked with a producer from the late 80′s. Poppy with an earthy edge. Definitely a good one.
