I gotta tell you, the songs this week are pretty sick. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that the new Akon single is working quite well with my cup of coffee to get the hell out of dodge early today. I’ll be dressed as Bruce Springstreen tomorrow, appropriately, in honor of my deep love of America, freedom, and dancing in the dark. Leave work early today and get it done.
• Akon – Angel – Not much else to say. Akon drops yet another phenomenal party jam that makes me wonder why I ever listen to slow music.
• Kanye West – Dark Fantasy – – A perfect Halloween song. I dare you not to move in your cube when you listen to this.
• Simian Mobile Disco – I Believe - If you liked Miami Horror, this is right up your alley. That’s what she said!
|
• Zeds Dead & Omar LinX – Out for Blood – You’re either going to love this song or hate it. Dub influenced G-Unit-esque hip hop.
• Eric Clapton – No Alibis- I heard this one on the classic rock station this week. I think it goes without saying that I immediately put on shades, rolled down all the windows, and pretended like it was 1985. This is the kind of song that makes you feel like the simple life is possible, driving your F-150 through the Utah countryside with your Bernese Mountain Dog in the passenger seat, raging on the Miller Genuine Draft waiting for you at the local dive bar. God bless America…and happy Halloween.
