Taj Burrow dropping the hammer in Fiji. I am very thankful for killer weather and big waves, along with everything else that is awesome about life. Pushups and Tryptophan: The Story Giving It Hell. Have fun lounging!
• Kennedy – Karate - Pretty phenomenal disco-dance jam straight out of Los Angeles. One of the hottest I’ve heard in a long time, it’s exactly what you want.
• Birdy – 1901 (acoustic) – Birdy lays down another monster acoustic cover following her Bon Iver stint. Throw on some candles and eat a few slices of pie and you’ll be all set.
• Marina & The Diamonds – Starring Role – I am digging this Marina song, almost has a shade of Lady Gaga in there, maybe a little Dido after some barbituates. It uses the best parts of rock-dub without getting weird.
• Avicii vs Journey – Don’t Stop Levels – Hard to go wrong with a solid maship of techno and Journey’s most popular ballad. I heard this at a club last weekend and the place went nuts.
• Poison – Unskinny Bop – This song brings me back to the hayday of playing my stereo at volume 11, shades on, high fiving the parents of my neighbor as they came in to drop off Gatorade before their son’s lacrosse game with Ted Lyons at 10:30 on a Saturday. If I ever start a band, this is the kind of music we would play. Band name: Suns out Guns out.
The music blog built on getting you to the weekend using fresh, new music and artists. Genres range from hip-hop to top 40 to acoustic to electronic to pop. Discover new jams and take a break from the grind via youtube music
